Beach Volleyball Clinics and Tournaments

Elite announces, Summer 2013, its 5th year of beach volleyball training and competition teams. We will start our beach program the final week in May and it will run through the end of July. We will train not only the skills but the strategy to be successful at the game of sand volleyball and indoor volleyball as a whole. It has been proven that sand/beach volleyball will improve your volleyball IQ and all around skills. Give it a try, it’s a blast!
(You do not have to be a part of Elite Volleyball Indoor Club to be a part of Elite Beach Volleyball)
In 2012 we had over 50 kids in our Sand program, this year we are looking to improve our training as well as our tournament schedule. With our training style we will teach the entire game of beach volleyball, from Volleyball IQ, the rules and the proper team work to be successful. Below is a registration form. You do not need a partner to be a part of our beach training. The great thing about beach is that you can change your partner every week during training. Each athlete can choose what tournaments to attend, and teammates can be changed for each tournament. Competing is not required.

Randy Cline, Randy has played at the professional beach and indoor level and currently still plays on the EVP tour out of Chicago and formerly spent 4 years competing on the AVP professional and qualifying tour. He is looking forward to helping our young athletes in developing there over all skills. Beach development will only make your volleyball skills better. ”Being that this is played with only two players, you have to not only pass and hit, but you have to able to set and play defense”. Beach volleyball is the back bone to teaching you a fully fundamental game. With this type of training mixed with competition we are hoping to close the gap between the midwest and west coast.
Zach Franklin “Fish”, Zach is one of the top players in the state of Ohio. He is also the Head Men’s Volleyball Coach at Hilliard Bradley High School. Zach has competed in professional and pro-Amateur events through out the midwest. He brings a lot of experience and knowledge to Elite Sand program and we are pleased to have him working with our athletes.
Jennifer Patterson, Jennifer has been coaching with Elite now for 3 years. she was a player at Robert Morris University in Chicago and is looking forward to taking her skills to the sand. She has played beach and is looking forward to taining athletes the IQ and ball contraol to be successful on the beach and indoor.
Brian Merkle, Brian will be returning this summer for his second year of beach coaching. Brian has played sand and has been a part of Columbus area volleyball for 6 years. He is student at Northwestern University in Chicago illinois where he plays beach volleyball as much as possible.
Bryan Marshall, Head Volleyball Coach at Belbrook High School
Susan Halverson, Susan just finished her last year at OSU where she played as a libero and Defensive specialist for the Womens Varsity volleyball team. She brings a lot of knowledge in every aspect of the game, having to not only control the first ball in serve receive and defensively, but having to set the second ball in game situations. Suasan ran the sand volleyball camps last year for The Ohio State University. She has been coaching club volleyball for four years. Susan is starting her second beach season and in 2011 she will play on the EVP professional tour and in Ohio local open tournaments.
